The late 60’s found Mindermann in Washington, D.C. as an FBI Special Agent conducting key interviews in the Watergate case, investigating a variety of criminal cases, apprehending felons & leading a SWAT team. He spent six and a half years in the FBI’s Quantico Behavioral Science Unit creating, teaching and researching crisis intervention & police stress. He was an exchange instructor to the British National Police College & was the Bureau’s representative to the First Tokyo International Asian Organized Crime conference. He reoriented FBI organized crime efforts focusing on emerging Asian violators & working with local police departments targeted violent street narcotic gangsters.


Present Day
He is an author, speaker, has testified in Federal court as an expert in police use of force cases, commentated for the N.Y Times, Washington Post & MSNBC. He is currently studying police shootings.
